Morning lasts all day...

So my "morning" sickness apparently does not know when it is no longer morning as I seem to be sick all day. The nurse at the doctor's office said that twins usually means twice the symptoms - twice the exhaustion, twice the nausea, etc - and boy was she right! I am a fan of food and am usually hungry and can eat all the time but this is so not the case anymore. I will be soooo glad when this part of my pregnancy is over! Ok enough complaining.... The good thing is that Brad has been sooo great. With feeling exhausted and nauseous most of the time, I have been so fortunate to have such a helpful husband. He has been so wonderful around the house helping me out and doing things so I don't have to - laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc. I do not know what I would do without him. :)

DOUBLE the Blessing!

From my 6/9/09 entry....

That's right...we just found out we're having TWINS! Are we excited?! We are everything times two now! We're excited, ecstatic, and a little nervous :). We feel so blessed to have two little ones that we will be able to bring into the world. My official due date is February 3rd but I've been reading about twin births now and it looks like they usually go early. I have a million questions now for my doctor but I obviously couldn't think of much when we found out. So the moment we found out...I was laying there and Brad was holding my hand and the ultrasound had literally just begun when the doctor says that we're having twins. I asked him at least three times if he was kidding and then started laughing uncontrollably which made it difficult for him to do the ultrasound since my abdomen shaking so much. Since I was laughing, Brad started laughing, and the doctor and nurse both started laughing. The doctors and nurses outside probably wondered what was so humorous in our room. I did hold still long enough so we could get a couple pictures of them ("them"...crazy!).

Expecting

So I started a blog, Breuer Baby on Board, but needed to change it to Breuer Babies on Board since we found out we're expecting twins! This is from my original 6/5/09 blog entry.....

Apparently blogging (and especially baby blogging) is the thing to do so I’m jumping on the bandwagon. It will be especially nice to be able to share our experiences with all of you friends and family in K.C. Yes, we definitely miss all of you after making the move but we are enjoying Oklahoma too. It’s a short drive too so no excuses not coming down here to visit! :) Well, the reason for the blog…We found out on Memorial Day, we are expecting and we couldn’t be happier! Memorial Day is kind of a special time for us. We got engaged over Memorial Day weekend and we have always taken an extended vacation that weekend. For five years we went camping with friends and last year we went to San Francisco by ourselves (which I’m glad we did since that was our last couple vacation for a while). :) So my first doctor’s appointment is this Tuesday, June 9th. The nurse said we should be able to hear the heart beat which is soooo exciting. I have been reading up on pregnancy, what to eat, what not to eat, things to do, things not to do, etc. (I like to be very prepared to say the least) and apparently our baby is about the size of a sesame seed right now which is pretty good considering he/she started out poppy seed sized. Babycenter.com (which has a plethora of information) has this whole slide show which shows you your baby’s size with seeds and fruits and vegetables. It’s kind of cool to be able to relate the size to something familiar. Well, that is it for now but more to come soon!
